Privacy statement

JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER – School-based Programme and this Learning Management System (the “System”) are operated jointly by The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong, Caritas Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and Ying Wa College (collectively, the “operators”, “we” or “us”).

By accessing or using the System, you agree to this Privacy Policy Statement. This Privacy Policy Statement governs your use of the System, describes what personal data we collect through the System, and explains how we use your personal data after we collect it. This Personal Information Collection Statement will also inform you if and to whom we disclose any of the personal data, and what choices you have in accessing or correcting the personal data.

This Privacy Policy Statement is written in Chinese and English. In the event of any inconsistency between the Chinese version and the English, the English shall prevail.

Collection of Personal Data

This System collects and stores your personal data, the scope of which may include, but is not limited to, the following –
  1. Full Name;
  2. School;
  3. Class;
  4. Class Number;
  5. Responses to quizzes, assignments, tests, surveys and information derived from them;
  6. Volunteer service records;
  7. Image and voice, including photographs, video or audio recordings;


Use and Disclosure of Personal Data

We may use your personal data to help us better serve you and evaluate, develop, deliver, and improve our services. We may also use such information for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, research, and training.

Personal data supplied to the System will be kept confidential. However, to directly satisfy the purposes stated above, we may disclose your personal data to our consultants, agents, contractors, suppliers and other third party service providers. In certain circumstances, we may disclose information to additional third parties as required by law, by court order, or in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry.

De-identified data or aggregated/statistical information from which your identity cannot be ascertained may also be shared with the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust for data analysis and research.

We will not provide your personal data to other third parties for unrelated purposes without your consent.

Access to and Correction of Personal Data

You understand that pursuant to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (“PDPO”), you have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data held by the System.
